where sacred hair relics of the Buddha, obtained around 103 Mah\u0101 Sakkar\u0101ja (approximately 600 BC), were enshrined. Before the construction of the Shwedagon Pagoda, the hair relics were washed with water in this well, which came to be known as the &#8220;Hsan Daw Well.&#8221; Later, the well was covered with brickwork, and a pavilion was built over it.
