The Dhammaceti Buddha Image is located near the great Mah\u0101 Ratana wall on the Monday planetary post side. It is called the Dhammaceti Buddha Image because it was offered by King Dhammaceti. In the year 847 of the Myanmar Era (1485 AD), King Dhammaceti made offerings to both the Dhammaceti Pagoda and the Kyauksein Pagoda (Tiger and Lion Pagoda), including the great Dhammaceti bell. Hence, the Buddha image is named after the king who made these significant donations.<\/p>\n
