In other words, it is also called the stone sculpting. Pantamault is the art of carving stones into _ Buddha image, pillar from Buddhist ordination hall, stone obelisk, lion figure, Yamin (beautiful young woman) figure, elephant figure, stone slab, stone mortar, stone table, etc. Pantamault art can be observed in various works from the 2nd century AD to the present day. In the most famous Pantamault work, Pali alphabets were carved on marble slabs to be able to study the scriptures of Karmatho Pagoda during the reign of Mindon King.<br \/>\nOn the platform of Shwedagon Pagoda, the ogre statues, and Vashtundra (Weithandara) statues and the stone inscriptions; (near the Saturday Corner, in the front of No. 11 Semee Hkone (Candlestick stupa)); inscription stone (near the Sunday Corner, in the front of Sasana Hita Hall); the stone inscription tablets in the Northern Devotional Hall are all made of marble stone carving ,which are more than 100 years old artwork of Pantamault. The most remarkable thing is that the stone inscriptions of the Dhammazedi King\u2019s donation in the Sunday corner of the platform written in Mon, Burmese, Pali in the year 847 are more than 500 years old Pantamault artwork.
