Goldsmithing or silversmithing means making all kinds of people’s ornamental jewellery and accessories with precious things such as gold, silver, metal alone or with various kinds of gems. The offerings of the holy umbrella and the vane which are decorated with precious gold, silver, precious stones, and rubies; the hanging golden small bells around the seven-tier of the holy umbrella; the bonding with genuine gold foil to each tier of the holy umbrella’s seven-tier; the offerings of pure gold plates from the banana bud to the bell of the Pagoda are all made by Burmese goldsmiths. In addition, it can be seen that Kya-Hmauk/Kya-Lan (ornamental Lotus Petals) and barge-board are offered by the art of Pantain, Pantin, Pantaut. Moreover, gold coating, which is made of melted gold coated on bronze flat by using modern technology, has been offered to some areas of five bronze bands and octagonal terraces (Paccaya) in the Pagoda.
