The Ta Kun Tai at the Sunday Corner of the Shwedagon Pagoda, located southwest of the King Mindon Htidaw Pon Ceti, dates back to the Myanmar Era 1241 (1879). This post, around 144 years old, is of the brick type. The top of the post features seven successive layers of masonry, and the base has eight niches containing Buddha images. Among the posts at the Shwedagon Pagoda, this one is the tallest and is notable for its proportional height and column, making it a significant historical artifact.
